I like to make hats. Just so you know. I was asked to make this hat by a co-worker of my husband. He helped us with a fish emergency and instead of my offer to make him dinner he asked for a hat like my husband's. So for this pattern which is in Stitch and Bitch Nation I use Encore Worsted. I really like how Encore looks in hats.
It is a very easy pattern. I can get it done in just a couple hours. I modifed it some. I added a few more cable twist to increase the length. I also went up a needle size to compensate for his big ol' head.~Kellie
