The first place we went was Predator World. It is a small, inexpensive zoo in Branson West. We had so much fun. They had tons of animals from fish to bears.
Justin even had some time to face his fear of snakes. The grin he is wearing is not due to a personal achievement, but that the snake was starting to move and he was begining to freak out. But they had snake after snake in the first two rooms. They had a Porcupine and Lemurs! You then go through another door to see Alligators - they even had a baby Alligator which was very cute. We want one! Then you go past the reptiles to see the lions, bears and wolves. The handler was in with the wolves and they were so playful with him.
Then you go into this HUGE aquarium. They had a tank with small sharks, sting rays and a few other things. And you even got to HAND FEED THE STINGRAYS. Well let me tell you they are the most slimy things ever! But it was fun, gross, but fun. You could go to the next tank with bigger sharks and hand feed those. Justin and I chose not to do that as we didn't want to address that fear. They had huge puffer fish, jellyfish and beautiful coral tanks. You finished there feeling like you stole their money from them it was so cheap! It was a great time we highly recommend.
Then we went to the Butterfly Palace in Branson. What a waste of money. This is where I tell you that St. Louis has a butterfly aviary and it is far superior and less expensive. This is also where I tell you that Justin and I only spent fifteen minutes spending far more then we did at predator world. The Butterflies were pretty but the aviary was very institution like. Not at all like the indoor forest that St. Louis has. So if you want our opinion go to St. Louis and to their butterfly place!!!
Then we went to Branson Landing. We spent the evening browsing in stores and admiring the the undertaking. We at dinner at Garfields where we were subjected to watching the last four laps of a NASCAR race. Nevertheless it was nice. We saw a lot of stores that we already have between the Springfield mall and the Joplin mall but the atmosphere was very nice.
We saw the "amazing" waterworks. Sort of they apparently weren't up to par that day. However I remember the view from when my dad used to go fishing right there. Where we watched the Lake Queen go up and down the lake. Where the pirate ship was. All of it is gone to make way for this undertaking. I wonder what the fish think. Nevertheless it is beautiful and worth a stop if you are down there. ~Kellie
